Jackson P. Wright Memorial HNHS Music Scholarship

We are honored to announce another new scholarship to our application process in 2024.  The Jackson P. Wright Memorial HNHS Music Scholarship was established in 2023 by Sam and Brenda Wright, who administered the inaugural scholarship application process.

The Jackson P. Wright Memorial HNHS Music Scholarship was created to honor USMC Sgt. Jackson Payne Wright’s remarkable life. Jackson is remembered as a beautiful son, brother, and a devoted friend to all.  While at HNHS, Jackson was an accomplished student at the honors level, all while balancing cross country and track along with band and his saxophone.  Jackson truly touched an astounding number of lives during his short twenty-two years on earth, and this scholarship celebrates Jackson’s competitive spirit, high academic achievement, and love of music.

“We are honored to be entrusted by the Wright family with preserving Jackson’s memory,” said Matt Ditzler, Executive Director of the Community Foundation. “Jackson will continue to touch the lives of others through this annual scholarship.”

This scholarship is open to any graduating senior from HNHS who has participated in the music program and plans to continue performing music at the post-secondary level. Our application process is open on our website now through Thursday, February 29th, at 11:59 pm.
