Jeff Stonebraker

Near the end of 2016, Dean and Anne Stonebraker of Huntington used a portion of their required minimum distribution from their retirement account to create two memorial scholarships in the names of their children, Jeff and Stephanie.

Jeff resided in Jeffersonville, IN with his wife, Paula, and stepson, Tyler before he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58 in April of 2016. He was the Chief Public Defender of Clark County and was recognized for his outstanding work in the legal representation of the indigent by receiving the Gideon Award in 2003. Jeff’s scholarship is awarded to a Huntington County resident attending his alma mater, Indiana University, with a preference for those majoring in business.

We congratulate Jana Krueger for being the inaugural recipient of the Jeff Stonebraker Memorial Scholarship!
