Stephanie Pyle

Near the end of 2016, Dean and Anne Stonebraker of Huntington used a portion of their required minimum distribution from their retirement account to create two memorial scholarships in the names of their children, Jeff and Stephanie.

Stephanie was a well-known community leader and volunteer in Huntington. For her many involvements, she was recognized as Huntington County Citizen of the Year in 1992 and Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe in 2001. The Foundation also administers the Stephanie Pyle “Spirit of the Community” Fund which awards grants to charitable organizations within our county. She too passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45 in February of 2005. Her scholarship will benefit Huntington County residents attending her alma mater, Huntington University, with a preference for those majoring in business or education.

We congratulate Jacob Allred and Josie Beaver for being the inaugural recipients of the Stephanie Pyle Memorial Scholarship!
